Amish Trio In Court For Beard-Cutting Attack

The Amish “cult” members accused of a bizarre attack on fellow members of the religion during a home invasion appeared in court on Tues, Oct 11.

Levi Miller, 53, Johnny Mullet, 38, and Lester Mullet, 26, were arrested on Friday and charged with kidnapping and aggravated burglary after allegedly breaking into the home of a Holmes County, Ohio, Amish family and cutting off the beards of the men and the hair of both men and women.(Beard is a sign of masculinity)

Mullet said he didn’t order the attack on the 74-year-old Amish man and his wife that took place last week but explained that the goal of the hair-cutting was to send a message to Amish in Holmes County that they should be ashamed of themselves for the way they were treating him and his community.

Mullet, the leader of the 120-strong group of followers and family members who moved to the area in 1995 from an area a hundred miles away, is upset that they have been called a cult by critics.

Time to rule your beard!

Dushanbe male-residents complained that the Interior Ministry officials started enforcing beard rules again that prohibit Tajik Muslims from wearing beards that are too long.

Abduali Vasif, a taxi driver, 33, said he had a short beard, but because it’s not well-groomed, Interior Ministry officials started stopping him and asking to shave, he said. Vasif said Islam recommends men grow beards.

The Interior Ministry said it doesn’t mind beards unless they are long and the men are younger than 35. Ministry official Shamsullo Abdullayev said such beards do not represent Tajik culture. (I.e., We hate busy beards)

He confirmed that the crackdown started after young Tajiks studying in foreign madrassas were ordered to return and that the concern is related to extremism.

It’s amazing what can happen when you get a bunch of hill billies together..

Two central Kentucky men were sentenced to probation in connection with a bizarre case in which a third man said he was forced to eat his beard after an argument.

One of the sentenced cut off the victim’s beard and forced him to eat it while his accomplice allegedly held a sickle blade to Westmoreland and his brother during the May incident.

Both men could not say why they made the victim eat his beard other than that things “got out of control” after some heavy drinking. Other sources cite lawnmower as the cause of heated argument.

One of them added, “I ain’t got no excuses about what I done.”

Eating your beard could be a new addition to Beard and Moustache World Champions.
